Mine wasn't so bad. I didn't have haemerroids, just anal fissures. But he didn't really gave me prescription because my diet had alot of fibre in the first place. So giving me laxatives will just make me reliant on medicine which is not the right approach. So I had to drink lots of water (on top of my current diet) and monitor to see if everything's better. <br /><br />Thankfully, it did. However sometimes when I don't drink enough water or eat enough fibre, I get constipated and it's like back to square one. <br /><br />Oh just so you know, not all fruits have fibre. I went to the gastroenterologist, and he told me the same thing that it was a pretty large fissure, mine was actually do to the oposite of costipation, mine was cased by chronic diarrhea. After initially giving me Hydrochortizone Acetate supositories, he scheduled me for a colonoscopy for the next week. After the colonoscopy they found that I had several hemroids way up inside the colon which just have to go away by using the supositories. The fissure on the other hand they were able to use a little laser to make the muscle relax by the fissure to allow it to heal. Hope this information helps some people too...
