Changi Boardwalk

 |

Having stayed in the East for more than a decade, I'm ashamed that I actually haven't been to Changi Boardwalk before. In fact, even my folks have checked it out before me. So that's means I'm either busy procrastinating whether I should go, or my folks are more cool than I am. Ok don't answer that question.

So finally, the fiance and I finally headed down to Changi Boardwalk after lunch, on a beautiful sunny public holiday.

Driving down from Changi Village, we followed the winding road to Gosport Road, and started our walk from Kelong Walk. Well if you are at Changi Village, you can also start the walk from Creek Walk and make your way down to Sunset Walk and back. Unlike the southern ridges, this boardwalk is only 1.2km (one way), which will only take you less than half an hour to and fro.

For us, we didn't start from Changi Village because we were just too lazy to walk from our lunch venue to Creek Walk. Yes we are lazy bums. Or rather, our tummies needed to rest a while first before we embark on any form of physical 'exercise'. So we drove to the other side of the walk and started from there.

Unfortunately, the heat really got to us and we ended up walking from Sunset Walk to Cliff Walk and back to our car.

All in all, it was a nice excursion, which would have been better if we came during evening time, with the view of a nice sunset and cool sea breeze. Perhaps, we'll come back one day.. but not in the near future I guess.
