When it comes to accessorizing, I love simplicity. That's why you normally don't see me wearing different kinds of necklaces with beads or sequins, or bracelets that are cool and funky, or earrings that are bright coloured and too dangling.
So most of the time, I purchase little diamond dots, or little dangling diamonds, or anything that "blings blings".
This time round, however, I got myself a simple plain round silver ringed earring that looks like a dented metal button from afar!

I was just looking at their wide range of earrings when I spotted a pair of RHODIUM HELLO KITTY EARRINGS.
Immediately, I thought of Mom.
You see, mom's a huge Hello Kitty fan. That is probably why I remembered most of my childhood days seeing products of that mouthless cat in my room.
Any how, I struggled a while before I bought those Hello Kitty earrings. In my mind, I was rationalizing if Mom would ever wear them, evaluating if I am spending on impulse, and so on so forth.. when I came up with a few reasons why I should get those pair of Hello Kitty Earrings.
1. It was the last pair. If I don't get it, someone else will, and I won't see it ever again.
2. The moment I tried to 'flee from temptation', guilt gripped my heart and crushed it into a paperball.
3. It was affordable, and I thought of getting it as Mom's waaaaaaay advanced birthday present. I saw no difference between giving her a present now, and giving it to her on the actual day. Difference would be time.
So after purchasing those Hello Kitty earrings, I felt at ease. Not because I spent $9.90 on it, but because I know that I would put a smile on Mom's face :D
