Tiong Shian Porridge

 |

Yesterday dear and I met up with our friends to get some stuff done, and after that, we headed to Chinatown for some porridge because Jo's stomach wasn't feeling too well.

I was quite spoilt for choice when I saw their menu (above). Everything looks so tasty! But since I'm more or less a fish or chicken person, I decided to order the Fish Porridge, and ordered for dear his usual Pork Porridge; both with an addition of egg and an extra bowl of You Tiao (Fried dough stick).

Zack ordered a side dish: Fried Chicken Wings, for all of us to share.

Tada! It didn't take long before my porridge arrived. With the raw egg in the centre of my porridge, I had no choice but to mix it in my porridge, else it would be really distracting and time consuming to eat without breaking the egg.

The bowl of You Tiao (Fried dough stick) that I ordered for dear.

All in all, it was not too bad. I still do prefer my porridges like those similar to baby porridges; soft, starchy, and sticky.
