Eighteen Chefs

 |

Since it was Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) and there wasn't any Youth Service, the youths decided to fellowship over dinner and celebrate Michelle's birthday as well.

We decided to give Eighteen Chefs at Tiong Bahru Plaza a try, since we haven't been there before.

When we arrived, I was quite taken aback by their small sitting capacity. Nonetheless, it gave a warm and cosy vibe. In addition, the ordering style reminded me of Cafe Cartel - where one has to write down his or her order on the order form before submitting it to the counter.

For me, I ordered the Student Meal where I can be my own cook and choose between pasta or rice (with cheese or no cheese for either choice), four main ingredients of Chicken Sausage, Scrambled Eggs, Mushroom and Baked Beans, and any top up.

Set meal costs $6.40, which is inclusive of a free Ice Lemon Tea and a free scoop of Ice-Cream.

Sad to say, I wasn't too pleased with the food quality. It was a tad bland in my opinion, and I ended up not finishing my food.

The Ice-Cream however, tasted pretty normal - like those you would normally find in a tub sold in any supermarket.

Honestly, I wouldn't go there again. But if you are feeling a little adventurous and would want to be your own chef, then feel free to pop by this place and make your very own cheese baked rice or pasta.
