Today, I am reminded that love ain't no fairytale.
Yes, it is not always lovey–dovey, not always happy, and not always pleasant. In fact, many who are in a relationship will warn that sometimes, things get nasty. The exchange of words in anger, the temper, the tears, the cold wars, the emotional pain – oh yes, for all you single individuals out there, this is the truth of every relationship.
But all is not bad. There is always the reconciliation to look forward to, just like the rainbow after the storm. For me however, I tend to mull and cry over spilt milk. Hence, more often than not, I can't see the sun, or rainbow in the storm. All I can feel are the painful raindrops from the storm – metaphorical for my tears.
*Sigh* Despite being in a relationship for 7 years, I sometimes wish for an easier way i.e. a formula or a guidebook to follow so that there is a guaranteed and direct method to having a long lasting relationship. But for now, I guess we all have to figure out our own method and cross our fingers.
