Buttercake & Cream (Sunset Way)

 |

Tucked in a corner of Sunset Way lies Buttercake & Cream, a tasteful bistro which I honestly wouldn't stumble upon if not for my Cell Group nearby and a closed Chicken Rice Stall.

Having been to Sunset Way for the first time, my friends, dear, and I were actually looking around for this Chicken Rice stall which my friend claims is good. But due to the Chinese New Year festival, most shops were closed, leaving us to wander about in search for alternative dinner venues.

After walking through almost every nook and cranny of Sunset Way, we turned into a corner and found Buttercake & Cream. Filled with hunger, we quickly settled at Buttercake & Cream without any protest or hesitation.

Our friends ordered the "Sweet", "Sumptuous" & "Satisfying" 3 Course Set Dinner for 2 ($49.90+), which came with a grande of Supreme Mexican Nachos - Classic Mexican Nachos that's topped with tasty seasoned ground beef and mozarella cheese.

Despite not being a cheese person, I really loved the grond beef and mozarella cheese topping! The slight saltiness from the cheese along with the chewy and tasty ground beef really complemented the Nachos.

As for their main course, they had the Pork Knuckle which was shared amongst themselves because of the huge portion.

For my main course, I had the Chicken Sausage ($13.00) - a char grilled succulent chicken leg and jumbo sausage, served with baked potato and sauteed vegetables and topped with their signature mushroom sauce.

Well apart from the juicy and succulent chicken leg, I didn't quite like the jumbo sausage. I don't know, it's just too tough for me to chew on.

Lastly, dear had the Chicken Parmigiana ($13.00) - crispy lightly breaded chicken leg topped with their own marinara sauce, melted cheddar cheese, and served with steak house fries.

And to end the very sumptuous dinner spread, we shared our friend's Baked Crumble Coconut Pie which is part of the "Sweet", "Sumptuous" & "Satisfying" 3 Course Set Dinner for 2.

Since I'm not a fan of coconut, I can't provide any review on the very delicious looking Baked Crumble Coconut Pie. But judging from the "Oomms" and "Aaaahs" from my friends, it sure tastes good!
