Fig & Olive (Vivocity)

 |

If not for a Standard Chartered 1-for-1 voucher, we probably wouldn't dine at Fig & Olive.

See, the BF and I have walked past Fig & Olive a couple of times, but didn't enter because a tiny voice in our guts cried out "Can we have Subway please? How about Burger King? Or the Food Court?"

But well, we finally succumbed to the vouchers because we were running out of lunch venue ideas at Vivocity.

Anyway, the BF ordered the Classic Chicken BBQ Pasta - Herb grilled chicken topped with homemade Figo BBQ sauce, fresh vegetables served with pasta and tomato sauce ($15.90).

In all truthfulness, it was really a major disappointment. The pasta was diluted and tasteless, likewise with the herb grilled chicken, which seemed as if it was microwaved and soaked in a pool of BBQ sauce.

I ordered the Figo Fish Oglio - Premium breaded dory, green vegetables and coleslaw served with choice of pasta and tomato sauce or olive rice ($15.90).

Though mine tasted a tad better than the BBQ grilled chicken, the fish was flakey and a little overly battered.

All in all, we wouldn't return back to Fig & Olive even with any 1-for-1 promotions. I guess out guts were right in the first place.
