Saturday Nights

 |

Like every other Saturday, dear and I met up with our friends for dinner. Well, it's more like supper, because we ended up at Lai Lai Casual Dining at about 9:40PM.

Honestly, I've never been to Lai Lai before. I did hear some of my friends mention it, but no, I've never step foot into Lai Lai before.

Lai Lai Casual Dining:
20A Liang Seah Street (S)189041

Upon arrival, we were greeted with almost a full house on the first floor. So we were seated upstairs, which I thought wasn't too bad because it seemed like the whole of second floor belonged to us since there wasn't anyone else anyway!

After ordering our food, our drinks were quickly served. From above, it is actually the same drink, Jasmine Green Tea, with lots of bubble (left), normal (centre), and no bubble (right).

Our side dishes were served up next. First to arrive was the Crispy Chicken.

Then it was my dish, which was the Century Egg Tofu.

Another side dish; Roast Pork was served shortly.

Someone also ordered Squid. Or wait, is that Sotong? Hmmm.

Soon my main dish arrived, and boy it looked so yummy! Well the herbs do make it look more nutritious too!

Dear, who was famished, had Chicken Cutlet Rice. He ended up putting lots of condiments into his rice. So you can roughly imagine how it would taste like.

Jo had some Minced Meat Rice. Yummmmyy.. Looks good!

Finally, dear's side dish arrived. It's actually beef shin.. or something along the lines of a beef part.

After a sumptuous and satiated dinner, we left for Mr Prata Cafe to chill out. Before we left Bugis, I took the above shot. Somehow, there's something nice and memorable about these buildings.
