Grace Said.: Resto Surabaya (Far East Plaza)

My colleagues and I stumbled upon Resto Surabaya when we had to run some errands at Far East Plaza. At first, we were a little apprehensive because the eatery seemed a little crowded, and we were unsure of the quality of the food.

But upon looking at some newspaper clippings of commendation, we decided to give it a try.

Tucked in a secluded corner of the 5th floor in Far East Shopping Centre, Resto Surabaya is known for its Ayam Penyet amongst other delicious dishes. However, I wanted to avoid fried food so I ordered Ayam Bakar instead

Despite the lunch crowd, my colleagues and I only waited about 10 minutes before we were served with our lunch.

Having tasted the first bite of the Grilled Chicken, I understood why this eatery had so many newspaper clippings of commendation. The meat of the chicken was tender and soft, the sauce tasted like a wonderful concoction of barbecue and sweet sauce, the chili was so shiok and spicy.. oh the burst of flavors and tender chicken simply tantalized by taste buds! In fact, I like it so much that I actually finished all my food (including the rice)!

So if you are around the vicinity of Far East Plaza, give this tasty Ayam Bakar or Ayam Penyet a try. I'm pretty sure you'll walk out of the eatery with you hunger satiated, and a satisfied burp.
