RR COA 2009

 |

Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to take some photos of the Royal Ranger COA - An event where the rangers had to present the skills they have learnt in Royal Rangers so far, and at the same time, the badges that will be presented to them according to the different merits and skills they have learnt.

It was quite a joyous and light-hearted event, with the rangers and their parents, and all the commanders, helpers, teachers etc. It was certainly fun taking pictures and snapping away! :D

A glimpse of everyone having a hearty lunch before the event began

Zhen Long sure does look happy and really contented

Even the adults were laughing! Looks like they are having fun as well!

The event started off with a Praise and Worship session led by Ivin

Holding hands to signify unity in the body.

The commanders were in their fun mode: Smiling, laughing and grinning!

The young ones presented their skill of making Peanut Butter Balls.

These are cooked Peanut Butter Balls that were passed around for the adults to try

These kids presenting different scenarios where they could put their First Aid skills into practice.

Another scene where Rufus "drowned" because of leg cramps and how another ranger saved him with his First Aid knowledge

And while Pastor was talking to the parents in the main hall, the kids were ushered to a room where they played a game of "Who-can-keep-quiet-for-the-longest"

Haha. They don't seem pleased about this game! :D

All in all, I am really proud of these rangers and all the commanders! As compared to my time where Sunday School was just a session of singing songs, memorizing verses and discussing bible stories, these children have indeed so much potential and skills in them that are practical, useful and meaningful.

3 Cheers for the Royal Rangers!
