Mid Autumn Festival 2009

 |

Dear and I went to meet up with some friends on Saturday night, which happens to be a night to celebrate Mid Autumn's Festival. So some of our friends brought along some paper lanterns, candles, sparkles, and I was really excited because it has really been a long time since I last held a lantern or played with sparkles.

Dear wasn't as excited as I was to carry the lantern the usual way. Instead, he was more interested in finding out if the lantern would float if he inverted the lantern and add more candles inside. Well, apparently it didn't. The lantern was just too heavy and there wasn't enough hot air generated to lift the lantern up.

Oh! We also played with sparkles. In fact, dear played with sparkles while I watch from a far (and took lots of shots), because I was afraid that my fingers would get burnt if I held the sparkles! Nonetheless, it was really fun capturing shots of him trying to draw out a heart shape. What a sporting boyfriend :)

And yes, I finally held a lantern after all these years! Indeed, I had a great time hanging out with my friends, chatting, playing with lanterns and sparkles.

Oh good times, good times! :D
