Other than picking out the peas and corns from fried rice, or spring onions from soup noodles, I usually don't check the food I am eating.
But this morning, I happened to be a little mindful of the bread I ate for breakfast because it looked and tasted funny.
True to my gut, I paused for a moment and looked closer at my bread before I took the next bite.
Lo and behold! There was a dead fly on my bread!
Now I usually don't mind an extra boost of protein or nutrients. But from a fly? No way! :(
