In celebration of the end of my exams, Dear, myself, and CS decided to head down to Fish & Co at The Glass House for dinner, and make use of the $1 coupon deal for their fish and chips.
The $1 promotion is in support of the Earth Hour, and all proceeds from the sale of $1 fish & chips will go to WWF. Each table of diners is entitled to enjoy only one $1 deal Monday to Friday from March 29 to April 30, excluding eve of a public holiday and a public holiday itself. However, only the first 10,000 people to do so will enjoy this. The normal price is about 13 times more - $13.90++.

If so, then where the heck are all these people that have left their names before us in waiting list? Guess they went to walk around. Well that's just too bad, because we decided to hang around the compound, and when people started leaving the place, we got ahead of the queue because they don't do callbacks and there was no way to contact those people who left their names in the waiting list.
After we were seated, we started ordering our food and the guys ordered Calamari for their side dish. FYI - I'm not really a seafood person. Other than fish, there is hardly other kinds of seafood I ever eat (or tried to eat).
Finally, our main dish arrived - Fish and Chips! To be honest, I could barely continue after eating half the fish. Not because I was full, but for some strange reason, I have this queer dislike for the consumption of food that taste the same for too long. So for the fish, I had this funny bitter after taste after eating half of the fish and I had no appetite to continue.
The guys however, gobbled up their portions and dear even finished my leftover fish.
When the bill finally came, we were shocked that it was $44.90 because we assumed that the $1 coupon was per pax. It was unfortunately, for per table and so we split the cost equally and paid about $15.00 each.
Then after that, we walked around Plaza Singapura, hung around Jalan Kayu Cafe, chilled out at SMU while waiting for our other friends.
It was a long night of fun, chatter, and good company. And though I was exhausted when I reached home, it was worth it.
