Yesterday night, I was informed by my parents that my brother (who works as an Air Steward) was unwell while he was in Beijing.
So after Prayer Meeting, my dad went to pick my mom, and three of us headed to the Airport to pick him up.
He looked normal, probably because of the morphine jab that the China Doctors gave him. So anyway, he told us what happened while we were in the car to Changi General Hospital.
So this was roughly what happened:
It was 2AM, and he was in his hotel room sleeping. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain on his right abdomen with occasional diarrhoea. He thought it was some food poisoning, so he bore the pain until 7Am next morning.
Little did he know that the pain got worse and he couldn't get up. So he rang his Supervisor and his crew helped to bring him to the nearby hospital in Beijing.
The china doctors suspected it was Appendicitis, but advised him to come back to Singapore for treatment. So my brother came back to Singapore..
When we arrived at the Accident & Emergency Centre at Changi General Hospital, I was surprised and a little frustrated that my brother had to wait so long for a consultation and admission!
And what made it worse was that only 1 person is allowed to accompany him inside the A&E centre. So dad asked mom and I to go home since we can't do much anyway.
..
This morning, I got an sms from my parents saying that my brother's condition is normal and is no longer on drip. He is also able to consume light food and the local doctors suspect that it's food poisoning instead.
Phew! What a scare! Thank God that there is no need for operation!
Heartfelt thanks to those who kept him in prayer too!
