Phuket Trip (Day 2 - Phuket)

 |

The next day, we woke up at about 04h30 for breakfast and to finish up packing so that we could leave Trang at 06h00. Other than my craving for more sleep, I was comforted at the sight of the sunrise. The mix azure of orange, blue and purple is just too beautiful.

Bought some cheap Bird's Nest for some energy booster at one of the Petrol Stops at 35 THB each.

Along the way, we stopped by a stretch of unfinished road for a group photo. We are halfway there!

Finally after 5 hours of riding, we finally made it to Phuket! What an achievement!

However, it took us another one and a half hour before reaching Sugar Palm Grand Hillside, the hotel which we will be residing in the next few days.

Though we arrived at our rooms exhausted and drenched with perspiration, we were taken aback at the chicness of our hotel and the rooms! Absolutely trendy, simplistic, and modern!

Without further hesitation, we changed to our swimming gear and joined our friends in the pool. Since they stayed in the Grand Pool Access rooms, the pool was just outside their balcony! Awesome! It was like having their very own private pool!

Fortunately, I brought along the waterproof casing for my camera and hence, was able to take water shots!

After half an hour of so, we showered and prepared for some late lunch. Love how the hotel overlooks the city!

Here's us at Sugar Palm Grand Hillside. Loving every moment!

We took a walk after lunch and visited Kata Beach. The soft sand, warm sun and the sounds of clashing waves was all too surreal.

Before we head back for the hotel for a nap, we stopped by a local massage parlour for an hour of Thai Massage for 200THB.

As I'm not a fan of rubs and pushes, I began the massage session with fits of laughter and giggles, and in turn, every one started laughing. Ha ha! What a funny session of massage!

Soon, it was dinner time and we explored the streets near the vicinity of hotel. Took us quite some distance of walking before settling down at a restaurant that served reasonably priced food.

It was at this time that we took the opportunity to fill up the postcards that we have made, before sending it back home. Dear wrote one for me, and vice versa. Can't wait to receive it!

Like every satisfying dinner, we continued to walk the streets for some sightseeing and window shopping. Well, even if we didn't buy anything, it was quite a good post dinner exercise!
