Phuket Trip (Day 4 - Phuket)

 |

On the third day, we were picked up in a mini van by another agency, and was driven to the port located about 20 minutes from our hotel. There, we were briefed by our guide - Chris of our itinerary.
Since there was not enough space in the back for the speed boat, we had to settle for the front. Dear warned me that it was going to be a bumpy ride, so throughout the whole journey, I was holding on to the bar with my left hand, and grabbing on to dear with my right hand.

True to his advice, it was indeed a bumpy and rocky ride! I literally felt that I was in a box and tossed around! Thank God for eating the motion sickness pill before the trip!

After 45 minutes to an hour, we finally arrived at Phi Phi Island! The beach is gorgeous!

After which, we were brought to another island where we were allowed 10 minutes of swimming. Dear and our friend, Kmax went ahead for a dip.

The next stop was where we could snorkel. It was both our first time and it was so exhilarating!

It didn't take long before the playful and curious dear decided to snorkel without his life jacket. I wasn't worried, because he swims well and has all that certification. I was tempted to take out life jacket too, because it was so tiring to swim about!

But of course, I chickened out and decided to be a good girl.

For lunch, we were brought to another bigger island with better facilities and a canteen where we were served with a buffet of local food.

While we were on our way to the next destination for more snorkeling, I couldn't help but appreciate and admire the scenery of mountains, seas, and greenery.

So anyway, I was equally excited during my second snorkel and hence the big grin on my face!

However, it the second snorkel was more dangerous than the first one because there were plenty of SEA URCHINS!

Sad to say, someone got wounded as he accidentally stepped on one! Thank goodness he is alright after being taken care by the crew on the speed boat!

At that knowledge, I quickly went back up to the speed boat in fear of being wounded. I hollered dear to come up but guess he was too busy snorkeling to hear me.

Look what he snapped! A small school of Nemo look alikes!

For our last destination, we were brought to this small quiet island where we were welcomed with colorful beach chairs lined up neatly near the coast.

There, we sat down in the shade and ordered ice cream and drinks. It was the perfect setting for an afternoon of chilling with friends!

At about 16h20, we moved off and headed back to Phuket. We had great fun, and a great tan!

Arriving back at the docks, there was a stall selling our photos for 100THB. We bought it without further ado since we liked it so much and it was cheap too.

As usual, we had dinner at a nearby restaurant. Suddenly, we heard several loud bangs in the sky and when I looked up, I saw fireworks! What a way to end the day indeed!
