Excitedly, my eyes glanced thoroughly at every word he wrote at the back of the postcard. By the end of the postcard, I was half smiling, half frowning.
If you had to ask, well, I was smiling because the much anticipated postcard had finally arrived. And I was frowning because he wrote the following in one of his sentences:
"Thanks for being a great assistant during the trip!"
Immediately, my mind raced to the thought of those magicians' assistant (you know, those that wear skimpy suits with the bunny ears) at the word "assistant", and I thought to myself "What the heck!"
Of course dear clarified himself over the phone, citing reasons such as not thinking right because of exhaustion and hence the lack of better vocabulary.
I accepted his reason. But of course, I rolled my eyes and smiled.
