Sena SMH 10

 |

Since the day both dear and I embarked on our riding journey (with me starting out as a pillion), communication has always been made with gestures and loud voices. Occasionally, these can be miscontrued as "Why are you shouting!" or "Why are you angry!", when honestly, the other party is just raising his or her voice in attempt to bring a message across, or simply, communicate.

So dear decided that one fine day, he will get us an intercom bluetooth set for ourselves, so that we can intercom, listen to music, and answer call while we're on the go. But this was shelved for some time, as there were no models that dear was interested in back then.

But prior to our Lake Kenyir Trip, we found out that our close friends had each bought a set of Intercom Bluetooth headset and that triggered the desire that was swept under the carpet. Immediately, dear start researching on the latest models and coincidentally, there was a new model released recently and without further hesitation, dear ordered online.

One a half weeks later, dear informed me that the Sena SMH 10 had arrived. With much excitement, he quickly setup the device in my helmet:

I must say that with the Sena SMH 10, conversing via the intercom between pillion and rider or when both dear and I ride separately has really improved the clarity in communication. No longer do we gesture or raise our voices.

Other benefits such as listening to music is much more easier, as I no longer have to use earpiece; music is played from my iPhone via bluetooth.

I've also tried answering a phone call, and it seems to be fine because the receiver could hear me well. I of course, could hear the other party loud and clear.

Well the downside is, that I can hear dear's occasional rants (which I find funny) while we are intercom-ing:

"Faster fasterrrr.."
"I'm hungggrrryyyy.. hungrryyy"

Then there will also be moments where he starts singing and I giggling to myself:

"You swing my head right round right round.."

In essence, the Sena SMH 10 has significantly improved the riding experience for both dear and myself. And as much as I hate to admit this to him, I really do like it A LOT!
