Fortunately for the good weather, we were able to head out to other locations and take bike shots with different backgrounds and scenery.
After some two and a half hours of photography, the sun was getting hotter and our tummies (or rather, my tummy) was shouting out for food.
So we followed Simon to Chun Tin Road (opposite Bukit Timah Shopping Centre), where we were spoilt for choice because there are so many food outlets and restaurants along Chin Tin Road to choose from.
There, we ordered a half Roast Chicken, Fried Kai Lan With Oyster Sauce, and Claypot Tofu.
So anyway, the chicken tasted alright. I didn't really fancy the amount of bones I had to pick out. If I had to be even pickier, I'd say that the chicken meat was a tad dry. The vegetable side dish was ok though. Not too bad. And oh, the tofu was a bit.. let's just say normal.
Honestly, I was expecting those soft egg tofu like those served in the Hot Plate. But this was different. It tasted like normal, square tofu; which wasn't what I expected.
So anyway, I thought that the food was a bit overpriced for its quality. And to be honest, I thought that the $1.80 chicken rice at Tampines Interchange tastes just the same.
Regardless, our tummies were filled and we had a great chat over lunch. What an eventful and fruitful morning!
