When dear and I first booked our flat last year, we were told that the Appointment to Sign the Lease would be scheduled within / thereabout 4 months after we have made our payment for the booking fee.BUT 6 MONTHS HAS PAST, yet we didn't receive any letter or update on the HDB Infoweb Portal. Call me impatient and 'kancheong' (the singlish term to describe one who has a nervous and flustered deposition), knowing that most applicants of the same project have sign the lease (via the Punggol Forum) except us just adds on to my anxiety.
I did try to call HDB a few times to enquire on the status of our Appointment, but all I get is a "pending" status from the system. Ugh.
So one and a half weeks ago, I called the HDB hotline and demanded to speak to our Account manager regarding the delay in the scheduling of the appointment. To cut the long story short, our Account manger quickly scheduled the appointment after phone call and days later, I received the letter to sign the lease on 26th February 2011 at 9:10AM.
Today, dear and I headed to HDB Hub to sign the Agreement. Though our CPF accounts took a hit when we paid for the downpayment and legal fees, we were still pretty psyched and excited when the flat is ready about 3 to 4 years later. *Rubs my hands with glee*
