When Stress Balls Fail

 |

My colleagues know exactly what happens when I change the radio channel to 92.4 - the classical channel.

For the benefit for you readers who don't know, turning the radio channel from one filled pop songs and mindless DJ banter to one that plays pure classical music and glass-shattering opera songs simply mean that I AM FREAKING STRESSED.

My colleagues will then see the feisty, tensed, uptight, and blunt me, and learn and/or know that I am not to be trifled with when I'm that stressed up. But don't worry, I don't turn into a monster or a nasty bitch. Ok maybe sometimes. But I am still generally approachable and corny during this time.

So this week, I turned the radio channel because school exams are this Saturday and next Wednesday, and uncooperative vendors or inefficient customers simply aggrevate the situation.

And I thought that perhaps, a stress ball (in addition to classical music) would help to manage my stress.

But I was wrong.

What turned out to be the best stress reliever is comfort food, a cup of hot coffee, personal space, and of course - classical music.

Today, I had all of the above and boy it was happiness. Soothing. Relieving. Awesome.
