In Apple Pie Order

 |

This weekend was unlike the previous weekends. Instead of food, fun, and friends, dear sprang a surprise and said "We really need to 大扫除 (chinese for spring cleaning. Can't stand my room."

Well for a neat, tidy, and clean freak like myself, hearing these words from the boyfriend do give a sparkle in my eye and a grin on my face. But today, I was not in the mood. Not that I was trying to churn up excuses or anything but I was lethargic, my nose was runny (with a pimple in it.. ouch!) and I just wanted to laze around and let the beautiful Sunday slip away.

But I had to (or rather, I wanted to) be the supportive girlfriend.

So dear took out on the stuff on his shelves and computer table and put them in groups in his living room. I then took damp cloth and wiped off the dust off all the items / stuff that he'd like to keep.

It was a good time to also throw away all the stuff that he didn't want. That part was the only part I enjoyed. See throwing things - ornaments and non functional things that collects dusts are just a joy. You can imagine how minimalist our house is going to be next time.

Anyway, dear finally wiped off every dust on his shelf, ledge and computer table while I wiped every dust off helmets, wires, gadgets.. and stuff.

After 4 to 5 grueling hours of cleaning, we finally put every cleaned item back into his room and enjoyed the fruits of our labour there after.

Sitting in a clean, dust-free room without having random sneeze attacks sure feels good. But what makes it even greater is to see the boyfriend having some clean genes in him, getting his hands all dirty and sweating it out just to have a clean room.

For that, I am proud of him.
