Baptism 2006

Today was the baptism service at east coast park. Though it was drizzling, the rain did not dampen our spirits as we continue to sing songs of Praise to rejoice for these saints who have taken the step of faith and obedience. YAY to Nicholas, Aunty Terry, Aunt Dolly and the rest of the baptism candidates! HAHA dear, you are sweet today. Thanks for doing the things you do!

Power House Prayer

Power House Prayer was really a visit from God. Just so liberated in His presence, so close once again. I was asking God and crying out how long do I have to be desperate enough until He would hear my cry and be quick to save me. Crying out, crying out, crying out.

How beautiful it is when His spirits comforts Your heart and renews Your soul. I am brought back to my first love, back to that intimacy. In addition, through the Power House Prayer His spirit really stirred my heart for the lost, to have compassion for those without a vision. These people need Jesus. Yes, they need the Lord.

Mind's Cafe

The day turned itself around from gloomy faces to fun and laughter when my friends and I went to 'Mind's Cafe". Though I still prefer Settler's, Mind's cafe was cool. To our surprise, we met alot of schoolmates who were in their cliques playing games, raising their voices in cheer.. basically they were getting a life - just like us. Ha we played different kinds of games from Hali Gali to Risk, to Life, and even Uglydoll.

Yup and how time flies, we literally stayed there for 4 hours! At least we really enjoyed ourselves; we laughed our hearts out, screamed through every game, sabo-ed each other, AND MADE A FOOL OUT OF OURSELVES! Isn't it great when you can just find yourself in such games after going through a whole lot of stress? Oh did I mention that we watch a really lousy movie? Gosh. I felt like I literally threw my money into the drain. Even the popcorn tasted lousy! Definately below my standard!

Happy Birthday Rachel!

Went to celebrate Rachel's birthday with dear's family.

I would say today was filled with a series of unfortunate events. There was this HUGE rain and the wind that made me all wet and cold ( as in literally soaking wet). If you are wondering that I deserve it because I didn't bring my umbrella, you are wrong.

Even with the umbrella dear and I got all wet. And I wasn't wearing clothes that covered much. :(

Sighh but thank GOD we reached his house fast. hmm well we went to eat pizza hut.. Not bad I would say!

I got my tann and got burnt!

HAHA its ok, the tann was worth it. Ha actually I didn't really expect to get BURNT.. really. Well the thing is cause' last night I slept so litle as I was mugging for my Biology paper 3 this morning. After a week of sleep deficiency and stress, I am seriously drained out. So, I literally fell asleep under the sun and woke up saying "'Ouwwwccch."
Now I look so dark. tsk. Well.... i like it!

Maaooww..

I normally hate cats, but this one made me gleam :)

Awwh ain't that just a cutie? Mom gave it to me today. Ah! How great it is when sometimes your mom have such a child like heart. Anyway my mom loves cute stuff, soft toys and those little things that kids would normally like. Guess what? She buys them because she LIKES them but she passes it to me (regardless whether I like them or not). But still I thank her for this toy cat. I kinda like it alot though.. among all the rest that she had given me in the past.

Hmm.. I think I shall name it.. maaoow. What a corny name!

Hoops & Yoyo

Meldred and I had a great time taking MORE PICTURES OF HOOPS AND YOYO! Well basically we realised that hoops and yoyo had a flair in art and craft - especially painting! HA so we caught them in action as we were doing some artwork to prepare for kids praise.

3 Groups Of People

Accompanied dear to SIM today to settle his university adminstration stuff. LOL~ we felt totally awkward and out of place as we sauntered pass the walls of SIM - like noobs. That aside, I noticed that there were 3 distinct groups of people.

1. Super geeks - wearing berms, slippers, total slip shot.

2. Super bimbos - wearing clubbing outfits, trying to flaunt things that they don't really have (hmm I wonder if they even sleep after their sessions of fun and clubbing.. still a mystery to me)

3. Super noobs trying to make a fashion statement which apparently turns out to be a fashion catastrophe (c'mon the attention that you are getting is not of a 'wow' but rather 'what?')

Anyway the rest of the supposedly average people are a rare gem. Dear you are one them. Keep it that way. And you have been really sweet recently!

Relationship, Not Religion

Just when I was sulking about not having my donut this week, aunty Dolly was genorous enough to buy donuts as refreshments after church! God must really know my heart's desire to even answer such small prayers! :) Though the donuts were not the usual that I craved for.. But donuts are nice no matter how they look or taste! All donuts from the donut family are nice yummilicious food!

Hmm, the one week holidays are here. Not in the mood of course, I mean.. prelims are still round the corner? Really can't wait for prelims and A levels to be over and done with.. then I shall be freed. Even so, when I look back at what God has done in my life, and how much He has pulled me through this 2 years especially, my heart overwhelms with thanksgiving and praise.

Because I know that He holds my tomorrow and He holds my hands.

How precious it is to be loved by a king that humbled Himself to the cross and died for us when we were unworthy, sinners - basically a wretch. Why must He die? Yes we didn't ask Him to, but He died because He loved us and knew that if He didn't, we would all PERISH and live a life that is meaningless and purposeless - A road we blindly walk to the streets of hell. Therefore, one can reject the truth that He died, or reject His love due to unbelief, but that doesn't mean God will love one lesser. How precious it is to know that God loves us, so so much, He wants us to have a relationship with us. He created us with a free mind, free will and a CHOICE so that we can either commune with Him or walk away.

Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship.

I am elated to know that I have a Father who loves me so, whose Name heals, brings peace, brings hope, saved me from the miry clay, gave me salvation, is praised and adored by the angels, is glorious, majestic, filled with honour, alpha and omega, beginning and the end, has the power to save, a strong a mighty tower, a refuge like no other.. He is who I call Aba Father. Amen.
