Billy Bombers

Went out with dear today to make full use of the Billy Bombers coupon that ends today.Went shopping after that but we didn't buy anything.

We then made our way to buy tickets for 'Ghost Rider' which starts at 1600. Guess what? We had 2 hours to kill so dear's eye twinkled at the sight of the bowling alley. HAHA the sporty devil in him unleashed as he decided to play 4 games alone because I SERIOUSLY CAN'T BOWL FOR NUTS. I WILL BE AN EMBARRASSMENT :(

Yup so dear was trying to perfect his curve skills. Though I agree with him that curving the ball is nice and challenging, it is damn difficult ok? And all the suspense it gives when the bowling ball rolls to the edge of the drain then suddenly changes its course. For me, I'm contented with my TABLE TENNIS ball already :)

Dear taking a rest :D

Is that a strike?!

Dye 101

Not too long ago, (just before dear cut his hair) Rachel shoved dear a bottle of hair dye and told him to try it out since no one in the family wanted to try.

Well being the 'adventurous' Lionel, he wanted to try but he took some time to PROCRASTINATE and played scissors, paper and stones to decide whether he should dye his hair. :D Anyway Rachel and I psycho-ed him into 'highlighting' his hair and dear finally agreed! This is the part that gets tough.

I put on the rubber gloves that were given in the box, took out the mixtures and poured into the bottle given and started mixing. Poor dear, sat on the toiletbowl like a duck LOL! Well, I tried my best to 'streak' his hair with those big rubber gloves and after leaving it on for 20 mins and washing it off, the results could be seen under strong light :)

Check out how his current hair!

House Visitations

YAY! The Ang Pow collection is good, in fact much better than last year :) The visitations I've made this year were much more FUN too. Thanks to me who infected the youths with the game 'BRIDGE' HAHA! It's so addictive and intellectually stimulating, the youths bought 2 decks of cards to play whenever they grab the chance to. LOL we even played on the MRT (don't ask me how!) and continued feeding this card game addiction for 3-4 more hours.

Now you can see groups of youths in fours playing Bridge. Tsk it's just like a gambling den just that we don't bet on money of course. I think I should just start charging anyone who wants to learn Bridge for some kind of teaching fee. HAHA

Jann smiling like an angel
She tries to cover the camera's flash
Engrossed in her playing
Peek-A-Boo!
Lost in her own world
And acting blur
Pacman cell!

Happy Chinese New Year

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR everyone! Apart from the reaping of Ang Pows, I seriously dread the spring cleaning. Cos maybe I do it very last minute and my room is very neat, clean and tidy already. So my mom (who happens to be a clean phenatic) will ask me to do more dangerous and cumbersome cleaning such as cleaning the window grills, the windows .. blah. Thankfully I manage to slip past her clutches this year cos she is too busy doing her last minute cleaning too!

Valentines Day 2007

Valentine's Day was just another ordinary day.

When I was younger, I fancied Valentine's day as a special day with all the red hearts, roses, chocolates, little presents, sweet talk and cheeky surprises. Indeed I had that from boys who had crushes on me when I was growing up. But strangely growing a little bit older, I felt that valentine's day was just another day where couples DO MAKE TIME to get nice and courteous, where girls finally get presents from their counterparts other than the 2 other times in a year
(the girl's birthday and anniversaries), where guys HAVE to do something 'romantic' just for the day.. and the list goes on. I guess speaking from a girl who has a long and steady relationship, valentine's day can be everytime when a couple spends quality time together.

At least that's sweet enough for me :)

Nineteen

9th February:
It started with a bad morning :(
Dear had red-itchy-irritated eyes cos he tried re-wearing his contact lens. But I resolved to not let a bad morning affect the rest of my day! Thus we made our way to the monorail station at Vivocity which was located on the 3rd storey.
Mann, the monorails are seriously cool. Yall should go and try!

Awwh poor eyes :(

Welcome, sentosa!

Ahh.. The sea and the sun :)
Dear getting into the 'sunny mood'
YAY!
That's me yeah.
Us playing in the sea! It was freezing cold with the wind blowing and all..
We took the beach tram with dear did some crappy thing. HAHA left me laughing till I almost fell off the tram!
Anyway as we left sentosa, I had to take my last shots of how it changed from a barren little island, to one that is flourishing with all that greenery.

Mr. Chew
Us in the monorail train :)
We arrived back at Vivocity and was famished. So viola! We went to 'Earle Swensens' to get ourselves satiated. Yum Yum
Nice deck
And YAY! I finally got Patrick GIANT plushie! That pink thing just makes me go whee all day!
Can you believe how big these 2 little rascals are? Gosh.
I love them nonetheless

10th February
It felt like any other PLAIN day honestly speaking.
I woke up at 11am and felt really satisfied though my body was achy and my nose was leaky from the horrible and infectious flu :(

Went down to church for band practice and youth, followed by pre-reunion dinner with grannies and relatives. Despite the mundanity of the day, samuel and esther managed to surprise me with a chocolate cake that was bought by them, weston and christine. HAHA thanks guys for everything! Thanks to meldred for that 'interesting' gift and that familiar tasting donut! Thanks to aunty serene for that cute Minnie Mouse sequined shirt. Lastly, thanks to all that sent me sms and wrote testimonials to wish me Happy Birthday :)

Oh did I mention that dear bought for me a set of Altec Lansing AT3 speakers? Damn awesome.
Thank you darling for everything, from the sentosa trip to the speakers, every little detail.. It really made my 19th birthday memorable :) Love.
