Mcdelivery Surprise!

My cheeky side decided to unleash itself and take control today.

Ha! I basically had a sneak attack on dear while he is at home studying, by ordering Mcdelivery (fully paid by me via credit card) and sending it to his home.

Unfortunately the evil plan was exposed when Mcdonalds sent an email confirmation to him and thanking him for his interest in being a Mcdonalds user.

Well I had to use his details because he will be the recipient after all. So there you go! I was exposed, and we had a hearty laugh over how cheeky I can be. Tada! I made someone's day :)

Insecurites

God, my hope is slipping away, my faith is shaking. I know in my head the promises You've made, but I want to claim on these promises with the bottom of my heart. Even that seems so difficult now. As fear is creeping in, crippling my heart, slowly paralyzing it, I can't seem to be set free from worries and more worries.

Lord I am so insecure about everything, especially my future. I want to rest my hope in You, I want to believe that You are my Jehovah Jireh, that You will make a way for me to go to university. But the reality and fear of rejection is just so overwhelming now. And who do I consult, who would really understand, who would empathize and walk through this phase of life? None but You Lord. None but You.

Lord I really need a hug from You as well. Work has gotten me thinking about the priorities of life. I always thought that the job that offers the highest salary would be the best but I'm not happy with my current job. The need to constantly self motivate is wearing out. I thought that the current situation is just temporal, and I was really wishing that things would be smooth. But no Lord, obstacles after obstacles and I seem to be lost in this rat race of routine and expectations. God help me. I really need a clear sign and direction about my life. Temptations of quitting is taunting me, oh Lord what should I do?

I really need a hug from You Lord.

Roses are Red

Hey ho. Something just slipped my mind :)

Valentine's Day it's not all about flowers and chocolates. I used to think that flowers were 'the' thing for ladies, that it was a quiet mandate and a wish in every woman's heart to receive flowers. The bigger the better.

But after receiving flowers (not from him) long time ago, the joy didn't seem to excite my sense. Rather, I was just surprisingly normal. The flowers however dried, withered and landed in my dustbin.

And so I proposed to dear that rose seeds would do a better job. Reason being:

  1. I'd rather enjoy the process of growing a plant than looking it for not more a day before it withers
  2. It signifies that love is ever-growing
  3. You develop ownership and a deeper significance
  4. It definitely lasts longer
  5. It's so sssssssoooooo much cheaper

My Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day :)

Love is in the air, as couples all over the world take this time to celebrate their love for each other.

We were supposed to eat at Ocean's Curry Restaurant but it was closed. So we were left to make contingency plans but knowing that most restaurants would be packed today, we didn't get our hopes to high.

I suggested Coca restaurant because as you all know me, I relish in the bland taste of food. Not too spicy, not too sour or bitter or sweet. Something with a traditional taste of Chinese food with soup would suffice :) However upon arriving at Ngee Ann City, we were told that Coca Restaurant was fully packed and we had to come at 9pm to eat.

We walked further, and I crossed my fingers in hope to find something decent. Well at this point of time, heck the ambience and the atmosphere. We were just too famished to care more ha! Thank God that we managed to dine at Breeks. It was a good day, and I enjoyed myself :)

Yummy. Dear ordered Chicken Melted Pattie. Salivate people!
.. and fries for side dish.
Mine was Salmon Steak heh. Delectable!
.. and some random doodling while waiting for the main course to be served.

Joy at Vivocity
Strong winds in the way
His company would suffice
Photos in the carpark!
Snap snap snap!
A Zen Stone Plus 2Gb from brother
A magnet message board from Ruth
A memo pad from Meldred
Last but not least, a hand made mirror from Vannie! :)
The reason why this nearly brought me to tears is because these cute little stuff brings back memories of my almost non-existant childhood.
Nothing beats a present like 20 Donuts! From Eric and Liji (Part 1)
and more Donuts! (Part 2)
Now all at once! Oh there's 1 missing cos dear ate it. Ha!

I'm 20, and today will just be another day.
The world will still continue spinning
Life will keep going.
People will still forget one day.
But a big thanks to my brothers and sisters for sending me birthday smses. It's indeed a surprise in itself to wake up and see so many messages :)

Chinese New Year 2008

Chinese New Year is probably the only festive holiday I enjoy other than Christmas. I mean, who can actually resist the company, the food and most importantly, the ang pows! Ah ha! It's probably the only thing I love about Chinese New Year. Oh well, money does make the world go round huh.

This year's Chinese New Year has gone well so far, I especially enjoy the visitations because this year, dear and I managed to synchronize some of our visitations. Hence his company has made visitations abit more interesting ha! Oh not forgetting how my relatives' eyes lit up when they saw him. :)
