Ok that doesn't sound as exciting as it should be.
After Uncle Thomas has recovered from the surprise, we brought in the food that some of the youths prepared. As you can see from above, the main highlight of the party was CRAB! As such, most of us skipped our usual lunch just to feast on this.
Of course Crab wasn't the one and only dish. We had Curry Chicken..
Tom Yam Soup with fish, boiled tomatoes, golden mushrooms...
Meat with egg and sauce.. Simply delicious. You bet our stomachs were roaring with hunger as the table was being set.
The youths hanging around and watching some telly before dinner started and while table was being set.
Finally, dinner was ready and we gathered around to say Grace before our feast began!
Last but not least, we had glorious, yellow, creamy DURIANS for dessert!
However the highlight of the week was a SURPRISE party for our dear Band Leader - Uncle Thomas! This whole party was organized by brother Derrick, to thank and appreciate Uncle Thomas for his service and leadership in the Worship Ministry.
So we gathered at Uncle Thomas's place on Friday, took the elevator up, pressed the doorbell and quietly hid somewhere. When he opened the door, we shouted "SURPRISE!" Gosh you should have seen the stunned look on his face!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to take the video of the whole entire process as I was fumbling to turn on my camera while my hands were full. But the video above is the aftermath of Uncle Thomas's reaction of looking stunned for about 10 seconds.
