Since the slot for breakfast was any time between 7am to 9.30am, I woke up at 8am and headed to the Cafe downstairs for breakfast. Little did I know that most of them are already downstairs for breakfast!
Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't up to my expectations. There were only fries, toast bread..
Noodles, Baked Beans, Cornflakes, and some fruits. Oh well, I wasn't really hungry anyway.
After checking out at about 10:30am, next up on the itinerary was shopping at Pacific Shopping Centre.
Contrary to the size of the shopping mall when viewed from the outside, there were not many shops. I guess this shopping mall just opened not long ago and hence, the scarce shops in it. Still, I tried to kill time by trying out really cute accessories like fake bunny ears.
Dear on the other hand, entertained himself by playing with the trolley that was loaded with our helmets, riding jackets, and other stuff.
Amidst our shopping experience, we came across really funny stuff as shown above. Take away the tag and it really looks like the real one isn't it? And guess what, it's only RM15.00!
After an hour of shopping or so, dear and I went for lunch at KFC and soon after, Darren, Dorena and Alex joined us.
Like lunch wasn't enough, the bunch of us proceeded for coffee and tea at a shop similar to Ya Kun in Singapore - Old Town. This place is know for it's white coffee, but I didn't try it because of my lactose intolerance.
Guess who we saw at Old Town too? The others! Apparently they had lunch there as well.
So Darren and Dorena ordered some toast apart from the drinks we've originally ordered.
Dear had some Ice Blended White Coffee Mocha, I had Black Coffee, Dorena had Hot Chocolate, Alex had Ice Coffee, and Darren.. Hmm. I forgot.
At about 2.30pm, we left for Ayer Hitam for even more shopping at some old and new shophouses. I didn't take any photos because well, there wasn't anything to take.
Last on the itinerary was dinner at Tian Lai Seafood Restaurant.
By now, all of us were beaten by the whole cycle of traveling, shopping, and eating. Uncle Rodney however, still looks so cheery and energetic!
And the following were what we had for dinner:
After a fantastic and delicious dinner, we gathered at Esso R&R for the cars to refuel and to distribute the Otars that have been pre-ordered earlier in the day.
Well, it sure was a good getaway with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, especially with the all the food, fellowship, and shopping! Thanks Uncle Chris, Uncle Derrick, and Auntie Patsy for organizing this trip for us! We had a great time!
