A Date To Remember

 |

It was past the office hours, but I was in the office - replying some emails and tying up some loose ends, while dear was servicing a client that was located near the vicinity of the office.

Honestly, I wasn't waiting for him. In fact, I was 'enjoying' my alone time in the office and feeling lazy to leave. Little did I know, a few hours past by and by the time I knew I should leave, he called me to inform me that he was done and would be coming back to the office.

So anyway, we finally met up, and since our tummies were growling, I spontaneously decided to have dinner at Claypot Fun located at East Coast Park. Well, it was the eve of the public holiday and I was dying to pamper myself by having for some slow paced dinner away from the busy crowd; and preferably surrounding nature's company.

Arriving at Claypot Fun, we noticed that it wasn't crowded. I guess that everyone is either heading out to town or leaving the country for some getaway in Malaysia.

Anyhow, we quickly got seated and ordered their promotion Set A, which included: A choice of Claypot Rice, Stir Fried Cabbage, Soup, and Cod Fish Fillet With Vegetables. All these for a whopping price of $32.00 only! We also completed the meal by ordering two cold barley drinks at $2.80 each.

It took some time before the food was served. Good thing we were chatting so the wait was much more bearable, else the impatient me would have drummed my fingers and finally, banged some tables.

Just kidding!

After a sumptuous dinner, we decided to take a stroll by the beach for some post dinner exercise and to enjoy the cool sea breeze.

Along the way, we were just having fun laughing, chatting, holding hands, and just enjoying each other's company while the wind ruffled our hairs.

Completing our stroll from Big Splash to a nearby jetty and back, dear needed to relieve himself at Carl's Junior toilet before heading back home.

But when he was done, he sat beside me, and we looked at each other. It was as if he knew what I was thinking, and he cheekily asked "Starbucks?" I grinned and nodded, and secretly applauding his telepathic mind.

So we walked over to Starbucks, which was a stone's throw from Carl's Junior and we chilled there while sipping our Frappe. Like how good things don't last long, it was nearing midnight and we decided to leave.

With a night of good food, quality time, accompanied with a sea breeze, stroll, and a nice cup of Frappe, what more can I ask? It was indeed one of the nicest, most relaxing, and enjoyable date ever.
