Kruzer: Tanjung Sutera 2011 (Day 1)

 |

For our first trip this year, dear and I joined Kruzers on a short ride to Tanjung Sutera Resort. But instead of being dear's pillion, I DECIDED TO RIDE UP MYSELF! Yes you heard me right! My very first trip to Malaysia!

Usually, Kruzers would set off in the wee morning to avoid riding in the heat and if we ride through the wee mornings, we get to arrive at our destination during the day; leaving us with time for other activities.

But for this trip, we met up at 7:00am at GP Esso, had a short briefing at about 7:45am, before setting off at 8:10am.

As this is a really short trip, we headed for breakfast at a small town in Kota Tinggi. The ride was so far so good for me.

We then travelled through several trunk roads and had a short rest at a bridge with a breathtaking view. By this time, we had travelled about 80+ km. A little more before we arrive at our destination!

We finally arrived at Tanjung Sutera resort at noon. Was really thankful to the management, who allowed us to park our bikes in what seems to be their meeting hall.

After receiving our keys, we walked towards our accommodation, which looks like little orange cute no-frills kind of chalets. But do not be fooled by its unadorned exterior. It's interior is actually very comfy and clean.

There are no high technology gadgets like a mini fridge or an LCD Flatscreen TV, but hey, places like these are for you to just slack, relax, laze in the bed or chill by the pool!

As our tummies were growling after checking in our rooms, dear and I walked to the canteen area, and I couldn't help but feel so chilled and calm when I glanced upon the pool. Oh I can imagine myself soaking in the cool waters on a hot sunny afternoon and enjoying every moment of it!

We also took a moment to enjoy the serenity and tranquility around us. We really enjoy being close to nature; with the constant sea breeze messing around our hair and inhaling the fresh salty smell from the sea. I guess for us, it's a good time to rest, relax, and to stop and smell the roses.

And rest we did.. A LOT! The wind, coupled with the perfect weather, was a perfect recipe for an afternoon nap.

With all good times which pass by with a blink of an eye, it was dinner time! With barbecued food such as chicken wings, squid, prawns etc, you bet we had a sumptuous dinner.

Shortly after dinner, we were informed that in light of Valentine's day, Kruzer have prepared a stalk of rose and a copper tooled rose for the boyfriends to give their girlfriends.

Dear's name was called first and there I was, grinning all the way when he presented the gifts to me. Thank you so much for the very sweet though Kruzers!

Interestingly, there was more to the presentation of gifts than meets the eye - the last boyfriend proposed to his girlfriend by offering a ring box that is shaped like a rose! Awwwwhh..

That was not all! An engaged couple was also presented a lovely homemade cake specially baked by our club president's wife, and a bouquet of roses. Well, you can see from above that the couple really knows how to make use of their gifts. Haha!
