Gastronomical Weekend

There is a chinese saying that goes "能吃是福" , which directly translates as "To eat is a blessing".

Indeed, I was truly blessed with a gastronomical day, thanks to Chef Chew and Chef Chan!

Starting with lunch, dear decided to cook even though I told him that I could pack lunch from the coffeshop downstairs.

Despite a simple and decent meal of Maggie Noodles, it was actually pretty delicious! That's probably because of the quality of noodles, flavor of seasoning.. or perhaps the ingredient of love. Ha!

Dear and I then went over to our friend's place at late noon to prepare dinner after a round of grocery shopping at Cold Storage at King Albert Park.

Arriving at our friend - Isaac's place, I was served with what seemed like normal eggs in egg shells. But little did I know that they were Agar Agar (jelly) instead! Kudos to Jocelyne (Isaac's wife) for that brilliant trick! I was indeed fooled!

Oh and while the Chefs were preparing for dessert, I had a shot of Expresso; my cuppa coffee for the day. Aren't I so pampered with good food and beverages?

So last week, we had Meatball Sandwiches. This week, the Head Chef - Chef Chan - decided to have Meatballs again but done differently.

After what seems like 2 hours or so, dinner is finally served! For appetizers / starters, we had Clam Chowder and Salad, and for Main Course we had Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes! Don't they look so tantalizing! *Burp!*
