Excited and honored, I accepted his offer and decided to bring dear along with me.
Arriving at Quiznos at Orchard Central, dear and I met up with Jeffrey and after a quick introduction of himself, Jeffrey led us to the Quiznos kitchen and started telling us about the kitchen operations, the machines, the ingredients etc..
A kitchen crew shows how a Quiznos sub is prepared.
Despite the limited memory space in my brain, I managed to remember some facts that Jeffrey mentioned. For example, Quiznos actually dip their meat in a sauce before toasting it in the oven. This is so that the flavor of the meat remains in the sub, which causes the beef or meat to be flavor-ful.
I do remember other stuff like the culture of Quiznos, bits and pieces on the background of Quiznos.. I know I sound incoherent. But trust me, these dribs and drabs of information actually do sound more coherent in my head.
After which, Jeffrey introduced us to Tully's Coffee, and told us about the kind of coffee that Tully's make, where their coffee beans are from, the uniqueness of their coffee taste, how expensive and exquisite their coffee machine is..
Being a coffee junkie, I really wanted to grab a cup of joe when Jeffrey mentioned "coffee beans" , "aroma, "taste".. It's as if my ears pick up on these words selectively and cause an immediate craving in my taste-buds.
Unfortunately, it was soon to be dinner time and I honestly, I'd rather have proper food for dinner than a cup of coffee.
