But I know why. Tucked in an obscure corner of Basement 2, Hot Tomato Express is surrounded by several other food eateries like Pizza Hut and Wang Cafe etc, making it hard for one to notice unless one deliberately walks through every nook and cranny of Basement 2.
Regardless, my friends and I decided to have our dinner at Hot Tomato, since I've never tried it before.
Pork Chop, Sausage, "N" Aglio Olio ($9.90)
Steak, Prawn "N" Aglio Olio ($11.90)
Teriyaki Chicken Chop & Aglio Olio ($7.90)
You might noticed but the prices are really reasonable for the portions that they provide. As for the food wise, the Teriyaki Chicken Chop I had was juicy and succulent, with soft and tender chicken meat that was absolutely braces-friendly. I was also pleasantly surprised at how fresh their salad is. The Aglio Olio was not bad; nicely tossed with Italian herbs and mixed with a little of sauce from the Teriyaki Chicken Chop.
Needless to say, I left Hot Tomato Express satiated and satisfied. I think I'm going to bring the boyfriend here some day to try. Perhaps, he might like it too!
