Romulus (Vivocity)

 |

When it comes to food, the boyfriend and I are creatures of habit.

If we are packing food from the coffee-shop near his house, he'd order Fried Rice and I'll order Fish Soup Noodles. Occasionally, we will change and have something else that's within our habitual food selection i.e. Hor Fun, Fish Soup, Hong Kong noodles, etc.

If we are at a mall and would like to have fast food, we would head to either Burger King (his favorite) or Mcdonalds. If it's pasta, Pastamania. If all else fails, back to Kopitiam, where we would have the same old food selection.

Yes, we are that boring and unadventurous when it comes to food.

So on a nice Sunday (late) morning, I whatsapp-ed the boyfriend to see if he would be interested to have lunch at Romulus, which is located at Vivocity.

With nice comfy lounge chairs and a warm cosy ambience, I was quite surprised to see how empty Romulus was. Being optimistic, I told the boyfriend "Let's give it a try. Maybe they are new that's why there aren't many people."

My Smoked Chicken Thin Crust Pizza ($5.60)

Dear's Pepperoni Thin Crust Pizza ($5.60)

Within 5 to 10 minutes after placing our order, our food was ready to be picked up at the counter.

In my honest opinion, the food didn't win any exceptionally-tasty-and-must-try votes. Instead, it fell into the category of what dear always calls average food - OK lor.

Also, the thin crust pizzas aren't exactly braces-friendly since I spent quite a great deal of time and caution trying to bite my food.

With that, I think I'd rather stick with Pizza Hut for now.
