Lunch Express At Pizza Hut

 |

What a way to end our last day of school for this term, by having a nice meal at Pizza Hut with my fellow classmates/kakis!

Speaking of which, I can't really remember when was the last time I ate at Pizza Hut. In fact, I have been eating more of Canadian Pizza than Pizza hut! I bet you must have too! Who wouldn't, especially with their 2 for 1 deal? Tee hehe!

So anyway, my friends and I were at Vivocity, deciding on where to eat, and like the usual bunch of indecisive us, we spend a great deal walking when Gim Loon brought our attention to the STUDENT DEAL AT PIZZA HUT.

I thought "$6.90 for soup, drink and a main course would be reasonable." Hmm, turns out not to be.

For the soup, we had Chicken Soup, which is their soup of the day (by default I guess). If you decide on Minestrone Soup, you've got to pay $0.50 more.

Anyway, the soup isn't really soup at all. More like chicken drink. Seriously, I remembered that Pizza Hut had thick nice decent Chicken Soup but now, it has degraded to such diluted powdery form of 'soup'. I honestly think that the box of Campbell Instant Chicken Soup tastes much better. For that, I give 1 out of 5!
As for our drinks, all of us chose Root Bear, except Wen Liang, who had Pepsi.
Rachel ordered a side: 4 pc Sweet & Spicy Drumlets, $3.00. Too bad I didn't try it because I was busy snapping away!
Wen Liang ordered a side too: Petite Salad, $1.90. I have never been a salad kind of person so I left this out for tasting.
Finally, my main order: Chicken Neapolitan. Spaghetti served with roasted chicken and mushrooms in tangy Neapolitan sauce

I would give a 2 out of 5 for this, because there were more mushrooms than the already few pieces of meat, and it tasted pretty.. normal. Honestly nothing fantastic.
Rachel's main order was: BBQ Chicken Supreme Pizza Set! After tasting this, I regretted ordering my spaghetti, and wished that I had this for lunch instead!

The pizza is so juicy, with capsicum, chicken, cheese, and topped with BBQ sauce! Really saucy! At least a 3.5 out of 5 for this!

Lastly, Wen Liang's main order was: Chicken Haven. Linguine with roasted chicken, mushrooms and capsicums in creamy Alfredo sauce. Unfortunately I am lactose intolerant and so I gave didn't taste this.

In conclusion, I guess Pizza Hut should be patronized when you are looking for some sort of festive promotion because the money you pay is not justified with the quality of food!

After a heavy lunch, we did some window shopping and I realized that there are Christmas Sales everywhere! Perhaps we should help Singapore's economy by buying more? Hehe!

Poor Gim Loon, had to be my toy model. And this is Elmo putting his hand on Gim Loon's chin saying "Guchee Guchee!"
Gim Loon's funny way of saying Merry Christmas, when that hand gesture simply means Happy Chinese New Year. Anyway Santa must be so frantic, since one of his reindeers is missing!
