My Durian Surprise

If you haven't realized, I have not blogged for a week.

Yes, ONE WEEK.

And if there's anything to point my fingers on, it would be my long-suffering exams, with 4 big ass papers in 9 days.

So you can imagine, there isn't a lot of time for sleep, relaxation, or even dinner dates. In preparation for my exams, I had to rush home after work to burn the midnight oil and half way into this exam period, I was half depressed. And exhausted.

To make me even more dejected than I already was, there was a Durian Day Trip organized by Kruzer and I couldn't go because I had to prepare for my exams! *inserts sad face and whiney expression*

But there's this saying that goes "if you can't go for the durian trip, that doesn't mean that the durians can't come to you."

Wait. I think it was me who said that.

Anyway, the glum me handed dear an empty tupperware and instructed (more like begged) him to bring me some durians if possible.

14 hours later, he finally returned home, with stories about how tough the durian trip was because of the sandy terrain and the steep incline.

Then he went to apologize for leaving the tupperware on his box and forgetting about the tupperware.

As he went on apologizing, we walked to the living room and he revealed the whole chunk of durians while saying "but.. I didn't bring you a tupperware of durians. I BROUGHT BACK THESE DURIANS FOR YOU..."

*Heart melt moment with lots of squeals and "Oh my.. dear.." *

So there we were - his folks and us, sitting in the living room on a Saturday Night and savoring every durian that he brought back.

Oh my, the durians were SO SWEET. SO JUICY. SO TASTY. In fact, those were truly the best durians I've ever had.

Well, I must thank my man for the wonderful gesture and thought. Looks like some one is going to get lots of XOXO for the next few days.
